Look who's back in the swing of things.

After taking a brief time out for successful breast cancer surgery, Christina Applegate returned to work today on the Los Angeles set of Samantha Who? as scheduled, her rep tells E! News.

The 36-year-old actress underwent a double mastectomy in July after an MRI detected an early form of the disease in one breast.

Applegate's illness did not affect production on her hit ABC comedy, which went on a brief hiatus at the end of June after completing filming on five episodes.

During that time, the Emmy-winning actress learned she had breast cancer as the result of an inherited genetic mutation, the same one that afflicted her mother, also a breast cancer survivor.

Applegate has since been given a clean bill of health by her physicians, who say she's now cancer-free.

She's set to undergo reconstructive surgery over the next few months, which is not expected to disrupt shooting on Samantha.

Appleage participated in the Sept. 3 Stand Up to Cancer special, which raised $100 million for cutting-edge cancer research initiatives. She is also slated to be a presenter on this Sunday's Primetime Emmy Awards, where she's up for Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.

Samantha Who?'s second season debuts Oct. 13.
