According to a blog post by Stacy and makeup artist, Dominique Samuel, the trick is to find a red that matches your skin tone. For Stacy, that's a red with blue undertones.
Next, Dominique used a natural-colored lip pencil. He followed that by rubbing in the lipstick with a brush before blotting her lips with a tissue and loose powder and then applied an extra layer of lipstick for that extra oomph.
