Who's the Most Profitable Onscreen Couple? (Here's a Hint: It Isn't Robsten!)

While Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson may have a box-office bundle of vampire hits, hoards of rabid fans following their every move and enough MTV Best Kiss awards to make even Ryan Gosling and his very kissable Notebook lips jealous, there's one thing they don't have:

The title of Top-Earning Screen Couple.

Instead that honor goes to a different franchise. So who could the lucky twosome be?

Emma Watson and Rupert Grint for Harry Potter!

Before all you Twi-hards go on an anti-wizard rampage (now that H.P. and his crew have dominated two money-related records, the first being top opening day draw), know that Edward and Bella came in second place.

The list was compiled by Forbes and determined by tallying up box-office earnings over the past five years (via Box Office Mojo) for stars who have appeared as couples on the big screen.

To be fair, Emma and Rupert—who, of course, play GF-BF Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley—earned their $4.2 billion haul over the course of eight stints at Hogwarts, while the vampire duo have raked in $2.5 billion in just four movies.

We're not holding our breath, but who knows, maybe if the Twi fanatics see Breaking Dawn Part 2 in theaters like 800 times each, K.Stew and R.Pattz will pass up the Harry Potter partners and take the No. 1 spot.

The good news?

They're still $1 billion ahead of the next highest grossing couple—that'd be Megan Fox and Shia LaBeouf for Transformers—and we know those two won't be teaming up for another robot love stint anytime soon...or ever.

So, Robsten, your place at numero dos is secure!
