Are Private Practice's Pete (Tim Daly) and Violet (Amy Brenneman) done...for good?

The ABC drama returns from its winter hiatus tomorrow night and it looks like Lucas' parents are sticking with their break-up, each splitting their time between a hotel and Violet's house in order to make the transition as seamless as possible for their son. Too bad it's not exactly a seamless transition for Pete and Violet.

We've got an exclusive sneak peek at Private Practice's midseason return, which focuses on Pete and Violet's less-than-ideal living situation...

Pete's moving out!

Yes, Violet's giving him the boot. Well, not really, considering it's her house, but the former couple is having a lot of trouble managing their custody agreement so something has to change.

Pete's a bit annoyed when Violet shows up to hang with Lucas during his time with his son, which leads to "the talk" between the two, who are both feeling unsettled with their current agreement. The solution? For Violet to live in her house full-time, leaving Pete to find his own place nearby. The problem? Pete doesn't seem too happy with the idea. Ruh-roh!

Raise your hand if you wish these two crazy kids could just work it out!

Private Practice returns tomorrow at 10 p.m. on ABC.
