Luck runs out, even if you're Kobe Bryant.

The latest trouble for the notorious baller? His wife, Vanessa Bryant, has officially filed for divorce citing "irreconcilable differences" after the most recent cheating rumors surfaced.

But since the gal's stuck by her man through multiple alleged indiscretions and a sexual assault case, we're kinda wondering if the duo really are dunzo.

Hey, a $4 million ring right worked last time, right? Perhaps $8 mil will do the trick?

Probably not, ‘cause it looks like the soon-to-be former missus has finally had enough.

And since those in Bryant's camp are staying mum on the details, we're guessing it's only a matter a time before someone sells a story to the tabloids.

But we couldn't help but notice this couple is not the first to try and survive a major cheating scandal, only to latter file for divorce. Remember Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid? Meg endured years of marriage woes before finally calling it quits. And then there's Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher, who had their first cheating scandal years ago, only to finally divorce after an even bigger affair took the tabloids by storm.

True, there's a chance the wife may forgive and the couple can make it work, such is the case with David Boreanaz and Jaime Bergman, but these two seem more of an exception than the norm.

It's why we're not surprised Vanessa has finally decided to stand up to her man, and we'd bet the couple first started to crumble back when the sexual assault case (a landmark cheating scandal in H'wood) began.

So, we turn to you, Awful readers, to ask if these couples even had a chance at a comeback.
