Sometimes global warming is a good thing.

Over the course of the last 12 months, several lovely ladies managed to make their way to various locations around the planet and raise temps to record heights.

How, you ask? By simply stripping down to some skimpy swimwear and strutting their sexy stuff, that's how! And we've got the pics to prove it.

And while it definitely felt hotter than usual this year, we'll leave questions about whether 2011 was a record year for bikini shots to the scientists.
