So what are we expecting from What to Expect When You're Expecting?
How about a jumble of pregnancy plotlines for starters.
The trailer for this upcoming ensemble comedy has finally hit and continues the current Hollywood trend of films based on self-help guides (see He's Just Not That Into You) and multinarrative feel-good weepers (Love Actually, Valentine's Day and the upcoming New Year's Eve).
With an all-star cast including Elizabeth Banks, Dennis Quaid, Jennifer Lopez, Chris Rock, Cameron Diaz, Anna Kendrick and Chace Crawford among others, What to Expect follows the trimester adventures of five couples on their way to parenthood.
"Pregnancy sucks," quips an emotional, hormonal Banks before threatening to punch out her partner.
But this flick isn't just Bridesmaids for mamas-to-be. There's also plenty for the boys, like seeing J.Lo's man, Rodrigo Santoro, get schooled by Rock and the other alpha dads on pending fatherhood.
As for whether What to Expect When You're Expecting delivers on the funny front, we'll just have to wait until it hit theaters next May.
