A Fire Alarm Won't Budge Brian Williams From Reporting the News

NBC anchor continued his broadcast without missing a beat while an emergency drill went off in the background

And that's because he's what you would call a professional.

NBC Nightly News' Brian Williams was delivering a story about American Airlines filing for bankruptcy on last night's broadcast when he was rudely interrupted by a fire alarm! (Don't worry, it was just a drill.)

"You'll forgive us, we have a fire alarm announcement going on here in the studio," he told the audience.

The best part was watching the news anchor carry on as if nothing was wrong, even when the alarm turned into whooping sirens. Although, he did chuckle about it a little bit, which made it even better.

As he tossed to correspondent Tom Costello, Williams said, "We should advise our viewers there's no danger to us. We'd love to make this stop."

Fortunately—or maybe unfortunately for viewers—the alarm was fixed before recording the West Coast edition of the news.
