Even Salma Hayek puts the wrong foot forward sometimes.

The actress took an unfortunate step in her sky-high heels yesterday in Paris and almost took the whole production down with her while exiting the Hôtel George-V with daughter Valentina, Puss in Boots costar Antonio Banderas and their entourage.

Hey, stars can be clumsy, just like us.

Perhaps it was Valentina's firm grip on her mom's hand—not to mention their five-star hotel's sturdy 83-year-old door frame—that ultimately kept Salma upright after it appeared she was headed for a rough landing.

Banderas, whose swashbuckling cat romances Hayek's feline fatale in their new film, wasn't quick enough to grab Hayek beforehand, but he made sure to help her get resettled on her feet after the slip.

Despite losing her cool for the briefest of moments, Hayek appeared unfazed, although she made sure to stick close to her costar at their press call later in the day. But she bravely stuck with the same pair of treacherous shoes when she hit the red carpet at the Puss in Boots premiere at the Cinéma Gaumont Champs-Elysées Marignan last night!
