Nene Leakes understands that Kim Kardashian is going through a tough time.
"I was sad to hear the news," the Real Housewives of Atlanta star exclusively told E! News, referring to Kim's decision to file for divorce from Kris Humphries after 10 weeks of marriage.
"My heart goes out to her—and them. I hope it wasn't over because of one blowup fight."
As a Real Housewife, Leakes is of course familiar with the concept. But the Celebrity Apprentice alum, who's divorcing husband Gregg, also knows that marriage is its own full-time job.
"You have to work at marriage and I know its hard," Leakes says. "But to be married just 72 days, I feel badly for them. Not everyone can deal with pressures of reality TV. It's about your career and not everyone can handle it."
Kim herself has admitted that televising her wedding maybe "turned out not to be the smartest decision."
"I felt like I was on a fast roller coaster and couldn't get off when now I know I probably should have," Kim wrote in an open letter to her fans yesterday. "I got caught up with the hoopla and the filming of the TV show that when I probably should have ended my relationship, I didn't know how to and didn't want to disappoint a lot of people."
Leakes, for one, isn't entirely turned off by the idea, however.
"I don't know if I'd do a wedding on TV, like Kim," she tells E! News. "The producers always want you to do stuff, but I don't know. Never say never!"
And who does she think would be worthy of another trip down the aisle?
"I'm looking for a guy now who is financially stable," Leakes says. "I have my money, I'm not supporting anyone—and a family man. Color doesn't matter."
Well, her celebrity crushes, Simon Cowell and Anderson Cooper, are certainly financially stable!
"I think Simon says it how it is—I like that. And Anderson is beautiful."
