Thank goodness for proper toddler safety measures.

Jenelle Evans and two passengers, including her 2-year-old son Jace, were taken by ambulance to a Wilmington, N.C., hospital this afternoon after their Chevy HHR hit a light pole, E! News has confirmed.

The Teen Mom 2 star and an 18-year-old girl who was sitting in the front with her were treated for minor injuries from sliding forward and hitting the dashboard, while Jace, who was strapped into his car seat in the back, was absolutely fine, according to Wilmington Police spokeswoman Officer Lucy Crockett.

"Fortunately it was not a serious crash," Crockett said.

But apparently the drama isn't over.

"Just got into an accident :(" Evans tweeted afterward, followed a bit later by, "LOOK TMZ.. Crashed into a pole in a parking lot going 10mph no drugs involved I'm clean. Jace is fine I'm injured in the hospital alone. My mom took jace home and wouldn't wait for me."

TMZ was first to report the crash, noting that police were investigating but that it didn't appear to suspect that drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident.

Crockett told E! News that the official report on the crash wasn't yet complete but the investigation should be wrapped up by tonight. They have not determined yet whether Evans will be cited, she said.

Well, we're glad to hear that she isn't seriously hurt and that Jace is home safe and sound!
