Both Jessica Simpson and Eva Longoria know that an "I do" doesn't necessarily last forever.

But is Longoria so concerned about Simpson's second trip down the aisle that she advised her pal to not marry fiancé Eric Johnson on Nov. 11 (as in, a couple of weeks from now)?

Well, maybe this is simply a case of one Texas gal looking out for another. Hang onto your save-the-dates, pard'ners, because this story is...

So false—straight from the star herself!

According to In Touch Weekly, the Desperate Housewives star had superstitiously told Simpson that tying the knot on 11-11-11 wasn't a good day to start a life together!

Well, here's what Longoria has to say about that report.

"Wow, some dumb magazine(InTouch) is reporting I told Jessica Simpson to cancel her wedding date because I'm superstitious! So not true!" Longoria tweeted today. "My denial is at end of story but they ran it anyway. Makes no sense how they can lie to the public. #annoying."

Then there's the pesky fact that Simpson doesn't appear to be planning a wedding at the moment, much less one that's two weeks away.

Her rep has denied one rumored date after another, as well as the naysaying chatter that the nuptials aren't going to happen at all.

Something that has not been denied (or confirmed, for that matter), is the rumored reason behind Simpson's increasingly rounded midsection.

If Longoria has any imput about when the best time to have a baby shower is, maybe she ought to speak up now.
