Joshua Scott Jones is getting his life back on track.

The male half of country duo Steel Magnolia announced to fans Thursday via the group's website that he had checked into rehab.

"God has been on my heart to announce and make public that I have entered a rehabilitation and treatment facility to address issues related to alcohol and substance abuse," Jones wrote.

"Hundreds of thousands of people in the world struggle with these battles daily, therefore I am sincerely grateful for all thoughts and prayers at this very poignant juncture in my life and career. I would also like to thank my family, friends, record label and management team for being so supportive and having an active hand in my recovery process."

Just last Friday, Jones' girlfriend and Steel Magnolia singer Meghan Linsey hinted at trouble when she announced the duo would be canceling a few shows because Jones was unable to perform, according to USA Today

Steel Magnolia released their debut album earlier this year and went on to receive a nomination for vocal duo of the year at the Country Music Awards in November.
