No Hollywood ending this time.

Actor Matt Roth, the husband of former Roseanne star Laurie Metcalf, has filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the end of their six-and-a-half-year marriage—the last three years of which they spent separated, according to court documents obtained by E! News.

Metcalf won three Emmys playing Roseanne Barr's issue-laden sister Jackie, and Roth had an arc as Jackie's abusive younger boyfriend Fisher in 1992.

We knew that George Clooney's Booker should have been the guy for her!

But never mind the bad-guy role: Roth and Metcalfe's son Will, their first child together, was born the following year.

The duo, who tied the knot in 2005, have two other kids, 11-year-old Donovan and 6-year-old Mae.

Roth is requesting that he and Metcalf share joint physical and legal custody.

Metcalf, who's been nominated for Emmys seven times for Roseanne and guest appearances on Monk, Third Rock From the Sun and Desperate Housewives, most recently played the mother of Jim Parsons' Sheldon on The Big Bang Theory.

This was her second marriage.
