There must be something in the watered-down beer over at Paddy's Pub, because Glenn Howerton is the latest cast member to become a proud parent!

The It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia star, and wife Jill Latiano, welcomed their first child together, a son, in Los Angeles Monday.

He made the announcement while promoting the new season of his FX comedy on Conan this week. But did he choose that venue for a reason? Could it be—did Glenn name his firstborn after the redheaded talk host? And just how close did the little guy get to having the craziest celebrity baby name of all time?

First thing's first. The no doubt adorable baby's name is Miles Robert Howerton.

"It was a last resort thing, my wife and I thought it would be a good idea to wait to see the baby first before we actually decided what his name would be," Howerton explained.

"That wasn't a good idea. Cause we thought it would be good to get a sense of the guy, get a little sense of him before we actually land on his name, then we saw him and he looked like a tiny little alien grandpa."

"Well, what's wrong with Alien Grandpa Howerton?" Andy Richter asked.

"That was the second name on our list, Andy. That was the second name on our list." Phew! Dodged a bullet there!

After shooting down other theoretical names for his son, he said, "You know what was [on the list]? Conan."

"Really?" O'Brien asked.

"No. But Co-nan was," he said, pronouncing it old school barbarian-style.

A joke, sure. But we're counting it as two bullets this little guy's dodged. Not bad for his first week on the planet.

In any case, Miles' birth brings the cast one step closer to being completely babied up. While married costars Rob McElhenny and Kaitlin Olson welcomed son Axel last fall, Charlie Day and his costar wife, The Waitress Mary Elizabeth Ellis, are expecting their own firstborn this December.

Congrats!
