An A-list justice league devoted to fighting unrealistic, cookie-cutter beauty? Well, we've heard stranger things (but maybe not stranger titles).
Still, it didn't exactly floor the world when longtime body acceptance advocate Kate Winslet told the Daily Telegraph this week that she of the infamous leg-slimming scandal was so opposed to nipping and tucking that she had teamed up with her fellow natural-body advocates to launch what she described as the "British Anti-Cosmetic Surgery League."
Along with Winslet, who went so far as to tell the paper that plastic surgery was "against my morals," the Brit Pack also reportedly includes pals Emma Thompson and Rachel Weisz.
It's certainly a group we could get behind. But is it even true? And if so, could we sneak into a meeting? Don't book that Dr. 90210 consultation just yet, because this rumor is…
So false!
Too bad, though. If there were three actresses we wouldn't mind seeing join forces, it's this trio of smart, naturally stunning ladies.
Unfortunately (for more than one reason), Winslet's publicist Carrie Gordon told E! News that the entire supposed interview with the paper was false.
There's been no formal correction issued by the paper, though they have quietly removed the offending mention of a beauty league (though not the rest of the quotes) from their online story.
