Joseph Viles/Fox

The doctor is in...MacLaren's Pub? That's right! Kal Penn, who played Dr. Kutner on House until his, um, dramatic exit, has landed a major recurring role on How I Met Your Mother for next season, reuniting Kumar with his Harold & Kumar movie costar, the great Neil Patrick Harris.

Get the details on his role, plus a first look at Glee: The 3D Concert Movie, and updates on Gossip Girl, The Office, and more…

Penn left House two years ago to take a job in the White House for the Obama administration, but now he's returning to TV on CBS hit comedy HIMYM. Sources tell TVLine.com that he will play Kevin, a love interest for Robin (Cobie Smulders). Someone else standing in the way of Robin and Barney? Start sharpening your pitchforks.

The Office: Jenna Fischer confirms to Vulture that her real-life pregnancy will be written into next season. "Pam and Jim (John Krasinski) snuck away last season on Valentine's Day, and they had sex. The story is that they conceived this baby at that time and were keeping it a secret until we come back from the summer," Jenna tells the site. No hiding behind desks for Pam...she'll be pregnant and proud the first episode back.

Gossip Girl: Elizabeth Hurley is officially on the set of Gossip Girl, and we've got the photo to prove it. Looks like someone is moving in on Nate (Chace Crawford)!

Teen Wolf: MTV has renewed their hit series for a second season. Now if only we could get a crossover with Teen Mom, we'd have Teen Wolf Mom! Think about the possibilities! We'll start the email campaign.

Biggest Loser: NBC's hit weight-loss series is launching season 13's nationwide search for contestants. They are looking for individuals and teams of two who have at least 85 pounds to lose. The list of cities Biggest Loser will be hitting include Austin, Texas; New York City; Detroit; Charlotte; Washington,  D.C.; Atlanta; St. Louis; Salt Lake City; Phoenix; Chicago; Orlando; and Los Angeles.

The Sing-Off: Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Sarah Bareilles ("Love Song") joining Ben Folds and Boyz II Men's Shawn Stockman as the third judge on NBC's upcoming a cappella singing competition, premiering Sept. 19.
