Sure, those crazy Jersey Shore kids have created more than their fair share of headaches while shooting in Italy. You know, stuff like fender-benders, smackdowns and whatnot.
But is MTV really, truly, seriously planning on getting rid of the whole gang and replacing them with a brand new bunch of fist pumpers?

"We love the present cast, and their summer adventures have just begun," an MTV spokesperson tells E! News regarding the speculation that The Situation & Co. would be let go after they complete season five, which is scheduled to begin shooting back in the Garden State next week. "We currently have no plans to recast the show."
Mind you, "plans" do sometimes change. But at least we can take heart in knowing that our favorite guidos and guidettes aren't going away anytime soon. Um, right?
