Cheryl Cole is finally speaking out after getting the boot from the U.S. version of the X Factor.

So what did the Girls Aloud singer have to say about the judge-swapping snafu?

After thanking fans for their support and admitting she's had "the weirdest past few weeks" on her blog Sunday, Cole says she is "absolutely fine and more than ok" and taking some much needed time to herself.

"I have had the time that I have not had in so long to just chill with my loved ones and do the normal things that I like to do," Cole writes. "See my friends and family and be with my doggys :D. It feels long overdue and sooooo good, even my feet are happy to not have to wear a pair of high heels hehe."

And it appears she may not be ready to pop back into the spotlight just yet…

"You are my little soldiers and you mean the world to me. Remember what I tell you, stay strong, keep calm and carry on," Cole went on. "I'll speak to you all soon when I have some new news, until then I salute you."

Cole's replacement, Nicole Scherzinger, will join Paula Abdul, Simon Cowell and Antonio "L.A." Reid at the judges table, when the show hits Fox this fall.
