So True? So False? Did Jesse James and Kat Von D Take a Cue From Hef and Call Off Engagement?!

That's two. If the rumors are to be believed, anyway.

There might just be something in the water, because mere days after Hugh Hefner got jilted, Jesse James and Kat Von D are reportedly the latest star pairing to have fallen out of love, with Life & Style claiming that James has called off their engagement just six months after vowing to put a ring on it.

Funny, and here we thought Jesse was the utmost man of his word when it came to marital matters.

Well, they said it wouldn't last. But were they right? Don't return that WWII paraphernalia just yet, because this rumor is…

So false!

Or at least, we assume it's so false, as we're taking the following as James' official denial on the rumor:

"I like that all the piece of S--t tabloids are now following me on Twitter," he tweeted moments ago. "I'm pretty sure it's just so I can tell them to Lick My Balls."

Yep. That Kat Von D is one lucky lady. Lucky, lucky lady.

In any case, even before James' classy denial, the tabloid rumor—which seems to have taken as proof a few out-of-context tweets from the past month and a quote from an anonymous "insider"—didn't appear to hold much water, as it was just yesterday that the motorcycle man tweeted a photo of himself and his fiancée.

"Partners in crime!" he tweeted, linking to a photo of the couple working on a car (and seemingly getting filmed by a professional camera crew while doing it…wedding special, anyone?!).

No wedding date has ever been publicly announced by the couple. Which is probably for the best.

UPDATE 5:30 p.m. PT: The couple just confirmed their nonsplit to People.

"That is absolutely not true," James says. "We're still going strong. Things are completely good with us."

Adds Von D: "That's the furthest thing from the truth."

Furthermore, they say they're planning a summer wedding.

Says James: "That day can't come soon enough!" he says.
