Justin Bieber loves his hockey, but could it be he loves something else more?

After reserving a block of seats at Vancouver's Rogers Arena to watch the Stanley Cup finals Friday night, the Canadian heartthrob skipped the game after hearing that Selena Gomez had fallen ill, a source tells E! News.

Aw, what a good boyfriend...

Our source says that the "Baby" crooner (who enjoys a a good whirl around the hockey rink himself) cancelled his appearance at the last minute.

"He pulled out Friday afternoon," the insider said.

Bieber's rep has not yet returned E! News' request for comment.

Gomez was hospitalized Thursday night after complaining of headaches and nausea following her Tonight Show appearance, but was said to be "on the mend" after undergoing some tests. She rescheduled her Friday appearance at Santa Monica Place mall for Monday.

On his end, Bieber, who posted some well-wishes on Twitter yesterday, is scheduled to appear at a charity benefit today in Mountain View, Calif.

"In the Bay rt now for the charity show 2NITE for COLLEGE TRACK - ALL PROCEEDS go to help kids get a higher education," he duly tweeted.
