Did you know Johnny Depp turns 48 years old today?

Maybe not, since the enigmatic actor isn't exactly the type to host a big bash at some Vegas nightclub or invite photographers into his home to document his "surprise" party for a glossy spread in People magazine.

So how is the über-private guy celebrating?

Well, we have no idea, since Johnny hasn't been seen since his public Cannes appearance back in mid-May.

Like we said, he likes to keep everything under wraps, remember?

But let's hope he's off yachting in France with Vanessa Paradis, or sipping champagne with his fellow antisocial friend Angelina Jolie and her significant other half, Brad Pitt.

Or perhaps he'd opt for a family-friendly party with the Brangelina bunch like their kiddies had last year?
