The same day Jess was spotted canoodling with ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake, she was also photographed taking a ride down the Pacific Coast Highway on a Harley Davidson with Gerard Butler

The two seemed close, and well, kinda cute together in their biker gear.

So what's going on here?

Well, the two actors began forming a friendship together back in March while filming Playing the Field in Louisiana.

And although onlookers claim there was a lot of flirtation going around, this isn't a budding romance (yet).

Butler's rep tells Us magazine, "They're just friends!" and Biel says she "only wants to be friends" with the 41-year-old.
