Being Paris Hilton's mother can't be easy—there's the drug bust, the jail sentence, the boyfriends, among other things.

And the sex tape.

As well, there's visiting Piers Morgan's show, where your child is questioned by the talk host about 1 Night in Paris—that sex tape that made her famous—all while you're sitting next to her breaking down in tears.

The heiress opened up about the tape, saying it was the "most embarrassing, humiliating" thing that ever happened to her and that she believed she was in love with her sex-tape costar Rick Salomon at the time.

Meanwhile her mom Kathy Hilton, who obviously couldn't bear to hear it, looked up at the ceiling and began wiping away tears. At one point she got so distraught she paused the interview to request a box of tissues.

And how did Paris react?

She started crying, too.

"I just felt...just felt so betrayed. This was not some random guy; this was someone I was with for a few years," Paris said.

"That you loved?" asked Morgan

"I thought I did, and I can't believe that he would do something like that to me. It's something that changed my life forever. You know, when I was a little girl I looked up to people like Princess Diana and these women, and I feel like he took that away from me," she said.

More tears from mom.

"And this is not what I planned," Paris, now 30, continued. "I didn't want to be known as that. And now when people look at me they think that I'm something I'm not, just because of one incident, one night with someone who I was in love with. People assume 'Oh, she's a slut' just because of one thing that happened to me, and it's hard because I'll have to live with that the rest of my life and explain it to my children. It's something that's changed my life forever and I'll never be able to erase it."

Kathy then fully broke down, letting the tears flow while Paris comforted her with a shoulder rub and a hug. Mama Hilton also claimed after the tape was made public her daughter didn't leave the house for three months and that the Hiltons saw a family therapist over the scandal.

She also goes on to talk about her business empire with 17 different product lines, saying her mom taught her not to talk about money.

"I do very well for myself," Paris said.

The hour-long interview airs on CNN.
