Dear Joan:
About the royal wedding: What's the story with Kate's veil? It was covering her face when she entered the cathedral, but all of a sudden her face was exposed. Who flipped it back? Why did she expose her face before the vows? Did she have help with that? Did her father do it or did William expose her?

Dear Wedding Watcher:

There's a picture out there of Kate's father lifting her veil after he's walked her up the aisle before the vows. It's not exactly the traditional way to do things, but that's the way they do it in modern weddings. It's not as if the veil can vouch for her purity, which is what it used to mean.

Dear Joan:
Your Fashion Police cohost George Kotsiopoulos was wearing some cool eyeglasses on the April 22 show. Could you tell me who's the designer?
—veganbruce

Dear G-Man:
Thanks for asking! George is always so well put together. His glasses on that show are by DSquared2. As for the rest of his wardrobe, his sweater was by Moschino, pants from GAP 1969, shoes by Salvatore Ferragamo and watch from IWC.

Dear Joan:
I am a huge fan of your show and you always make me laugh. My problem is that I have a big butt, a big Latin butt, and I really don't like it. I'm always trying to hide it wearing long blouses or short dresses over my jeans. I was wondering if you could give me some advice to dress in a way would make my butt look smaller.
—Carol

Dear Backside Babe:
Obviously, this is not Kim Kardashian. But Kim does do a great job of dressing her Armenian ass, so you might want to take some tips. Bootcut pants or A-line skirts that flare at the bottom balance out your curvy frame. Dark colors help hide what you don't want people to notice. And you can draw eyes upward by wearing something flashy on top. Most of all, embrace your shape and dress to look your personal best!

Dear Joan:
I wanted to start off by saying how much I adore everything you do. Anyway, I was just wondering what's "in" as far as purses go—is it big purses or small purses?
—NaCorea

Dear FP Fan:
That's very nice, thank you. As for your bag, size doesn't count this summer. Seriously. Being able to fit your iPad is a bonus, but it's more about finding a great purse that makes a statement with lots of color, print and texture. Good luck shopping!

Dear Joan:
I have been wondering for a long time now, are belly button rings considered to still be in style? Are they still cool? Or should I have taken mine out years ago? HELP!
—sbright

Dear Pierced ‘n' Puzzled:
Don't rip your belly ring out on my account, but they haven't really been considered trendy since crop tops went out of style about a decade ago. And if you can't flaunt it, what's the point?
