Nicolas Cage in the Clear on New Orleans Case

Actor will not be prosecuted after being arrested last month on suspicion of domestic abuse and disturbing the peace

Oh, Nicolas Cage.

The actor was arrested on suspicion of domestic abuse battery, disturbing the peace and public drunkenness in New Orleans last month, and now we learn that the 47-year-old will face zero charges.

"The New Orleans District Attorney has confirmed that no charges of any kind will be pursued against him," Cage's attorney Harry Rosenberg tells E! News. "After the investigation, the District Attorney's Office refused all charges against Nic and this matter has been closed.

"We are pleased that the process led to the correct result, despite inaccurate media reports, and that Nick has been cleared and all charges have been dropped."
