Well, it's not a total shocker.

As the countdown to Meredith Vieira's Today show exit continues, there's now word on who her replacement might be.

Vieira will be stepping off her anchor chair in June, three months before her contract ends and, according to the Hollywood Reporter, Ann Curry will take over cohosting duties Matt Lauer.

Additionally, correspondent Natalie Morales will slide into Curry's position as newsreader.

NBC declined to comment on the report.

Vieira came on to Today as Katie Couric's replacement back in 2006.

Coincidentally, Couric announced this week that she will be stepping down as anchor of the CBS Evening News.

But while Couric is looking for another TV gig, Vieira's decision appears to be family-related. Her daughter is preparing to enter college in the fall and her husband's constant struggle with multiple sclerosis are considered key reasons for her exit.
