It was a high point-low point kind of week for the Cannon family: on Sunday night, Nick Cannon was living it up at his no-expense-spared, star-studded Las Vegas twin baby shower with wife Mariah Carey. But by Wednesday, his brother had been arrested.

What for? And what's happening now?

Nick's brother Gabriel Cannon was arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department's North Hollywood division Wednesday night on a felony charge for suspicion of robbery after allegedly assaulting and robbing a father and his 17-year-old son, identified by CBS News as Alex and Alejo Moreno, in Studio City, Calif.

So what's the deal?

Apparently, it was a business meeting gone bad. Real bad. The Morenos work for a production company that for the past year has been shooting a reality show with Gabriel, who has previously worked on his brother's Wild 'N Out and Even Money. Last night, a meeting was allegedly called by Gabriel, which the Morenos claim was a set-up.

The father-son duo told CBS' Los Angeles affiliate that four men—one of whom they say was Mariah's brother-in-law—arrived to the production offices and began beating them, taking their jewelry, their video cameras and all the tapes they'd recorded of Cannon.

The group, whose arrests were caught on camera, is still believed to be in custody, though no other information is available and Cannon himself has yet to comment on the incident.
