Oscar winning King's Speech director Tom Hooper didn't sleep much the night before the Academy Awards.

"I got quite nervous last night," he told me. "I woke up about three times in the middle of the night. But it's not like it's a sporting event. I don't have to fight anyone or do any physical acts except for sit in a chair and maybe give a speech."

Oh, and maybe answer some questions about gay porn...

As you may have heard, the movie's speech-therapy scenes with Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush were shot in very same room as a gay porn flick called Snookered.

"Everyone seems to be ahead of me on this," Hooper said when I asked about the adult-themed history of the location. "But I mean, is it...is it literally...that room is literally...?"

When I describe a still from Snookered that was posted on Gawker last week (no, I haven't actually seen Snookered!), Hooper laughed, "Oh, my God. I'm not sure I want to see this."

However, this doesn't mean he'll now be asking about the history of sets before using them. Hooper said, "It was the right set for me and it was the right set for them."

In other words, If it's good enough for a couple of naked queens, it's certainly good enough for a king.
