Growing up in New York City in the 1990s, I fell in love with hip-hop music and culture. One of my favorite groups then, and to this day, is A Tribe Called Quest.
They are the subject of a controversial documentary that premiered here at Sundance called Beats, Rhymes & Life: The Travels of A Tribe Called Quest, directed by Michael Rapaport.
