As Hollywood struggles to bring Wonder Woman to the big screen, there's at least one actress in town who makes no secret about wanting to play the world's most famous female superhero.

Who is she, and why does she think she has what it takes to take on the star-spangled icon? Read on to find out...

"On my lists of things to do in my life—I mean, I campaign for it—is, I just want to play a superhero at some point," No Strings Attached actress Lake Bell told me at the Sundance Film Festival, where she premiered her writing and directorial debut, a short called Worst Enemy. "I got the guns! With superheroes you have to have this tickle of humor in there and you have to be a really great actor and also kick ass.

"And I'm fine with kicking a guy's ass," she said. "I'll be honest, I think I'd make a great Wonder Woman. So if anyone out there is listening..."

In the meantime, Bell says she's hoping her short film leads to a gig directing a feature. "I like homework," she said. "I felt like my homework was to experience what it's like to direct. I always felt I could do it, but you don't really know until you're in the mix and in the trenches. So I did it as an exercise and a challenge."

How about directing and starring in a Wonder Woman movie? Just an idea.

Now, I want to hear from you: Is Lake Bell the right choice for Wonder Woman? If not, who is? Sound off below.
