Mark Ruffalo may be playing the Hulk in The Avengers, but he has some big green shoes to fill.
Before the 42-year-old star of The Kids Are All Right portrayed the Marvel hero, Eric Bana and Edward Norton tackled the role first—Bana in Ang Lee's 2003 version and Norton in 2008's The Incredible Hulk.
They each are strong actors, and may be easy on the eyes, but we really want to know who would win in a Hulk smashdown. So we asked Norton, and this is how he broke it down...
"Eric's pretty big," Norton told E! News this week at the New York Film Critics Circle Awards. "I'm skinny and Mark‘s little...no, I'm kidding...Mark seems more like a lover than a fighter. Bana, I don't really know him, but he does seem kinda big."
So there you have it. Bana takes it according to Norton. But audiences may decide differently after seeing Ruffalo in the role. He'll be playing the first made-for-3-D Hulk and has said he hopes he "doesn't bulge in anyone's face."
"That's all I have to say," he's said. Maybe he is a fighter after all. Watch out, Bana.
