It's safe to say, we are most definitely not amused.

There's drama brewing over at Buckingham Palace, and it's all because Prince William and his blushing bride-to-be Kate Middleton did what any engaged lovebirds would do (engaged lovebirds that aren't single-digits away from inheriting a monarchy, that is) and took the lead in planning their wedding (hence all those great details we heard earlier this week).

Well, guess what? The upper lip may have remained stiff, but Queen Elizabeth II found herself getting royally angry over some of those details...and you'll never guess what she had to say about it...

Royals reporter extraordinaire Yvonne Yorke sat down with E! News in an exclusive interview set to air in its entirety tonight (you so don't want to miss it), and revealed that Her Majesty was far less than amused when her grandson decided to tell the world—via Twitter, to add insult to establishmentarianism injury—all about the details of his big day.

One problem? He failed to run said details by the Queen first.

We'd say that one can only imagine how well that went down, but luckily, you don't need to imagine it…

Of chief displeasure to the Queen was the decision by William that Middleton would buck hundreds of years of tradition by arriving at Westminster Abbey by car and not, as is the usual custom, by carriage.

Not simply a vestige of monarchs past, the practice is also done to benefit the thousands of people who line the London streets or watch the procession on television, as it's easier to ogle at a princess who's traveling via horse-drawn carriage than one who's behind the tinted windows of a no-doubt armored vehicle.

And it's possible William switched up their modes of transport in order to cut down on the circus aspect of the ceremony (good luck with that), to save money, or even due to Kate's rumored allergy to horses (it's not like she could swan in on a deer-driven carriage), but whatever the reason, the Queen's response to the equine affront was less than enthusiastic.

Sources told Yorke that upon hearing the news, the Queen demanded a phone, dialed up William and—in her first words, no less—uttered the following:

"Are you going to cycle to the Abbey?"

Sure, it's hardly in line with royal protocol, but Helen Mirren couldn't have put it better herself.

To find out what her Her Majesty had to say about the post-nuptial reception, the morning-after breakfast and the big question the Queen put to William about his big day, tune in to E! News tonight at 7 and 11:30 p.m., and then come right back to E! Online for all the details!
