Robin Sparkles isn't the only one lighting up the screen this season on How I Met Your Mother.

Following in Britney Spears' footsteps, "Firework" pop star Katy Perry is set to make a guest appearance on CBS' hit comedy, the network confirmed Thursday.

No doubt hubby Russell Brand will be watching.

The "Teenage Dream" singer will pop up on an episode titled "Oh Honey" that will find her playing the naive and gorgeous cousin of Zoey (Jennifer Morrison) who gets Ted (Josh Radnor) all hot and bothered to the point where he, Barney and the rest of the gang take to calling "honey."

In a previously successful bit of stunt casting, the How I Met Your Mother brain trust invited Britney on the show in March 2008 to play Abby, a secretary Ted becomes smitten with at a dermatology office.

Overall, it's been a good day for Perry.

Not only did the Grammy nominee earn favorite female artist and favorite online sensation honors at last night's People's Choice Awards, but her new single "Firework" topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the fourth week in a row and "California Gurls" was named the best-selling digital song of 2010.

How I Met Your Mother airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on CBS.
