It's a new year. The possibilities are endless. So what better time to start talking about that unlikeliest of possibilities (unlikely, at least, before her Glee guest turn), a duet between Gwyneth Paltrow and Cee Lo!

First—and for now, only—topic of conversation: is this thing really happening?

Well, it sure sounds like it!

While appearing on Good Morning America today to promote Country Strong, Gwyneth hemmed and hawed and mutual admiration societied her way out of avoiding actually answering the question of a possible collaboration with the "F—k Forget You" singer.

But you don't have to be Columbo to know that that pretty much gives us our answer right there—the fact that they're appearing together on Saturday Night Live this weekend will do nothing to end the speculation (which Cee Lo himself pretty much started).

"We're sort of emailing each other, we don't know where that's gonna go," she demurred. "But I am such a big fan of Cee Lo, he is so gorgeous and talented and amazing. We'll see."

And with that, she collapsed into a fit of giggles.

And if that didn't provide insight into her answer, it at least provided it into her weekend.

"I was in Las Vegas," she said of her New Year's celebrations. "It was a lot of fun. I'm still feeling it a little bit."

Gwynnie, of course, had a front-row seat to the Coldplay-Jay-Z coheadlining extravaganza at Vegas' Cosmopolitan hotel, and while she had the talents of both her hubby Chris Martin and Hova at her disposal, turns out she consulted neither of them for her turn as a big-screen singing star.

"I don't think I could have done the movie without Faith [Hill], let alone the CMA performance for sure," Gwyneth said. "She got me through that...She was my inspiration in a lot of ways."

So Chris was no help at all?

"He was of course supportive and amazing, in a lot of ways, but I really relied more on my girlfriend singers like Faith or Beyoncé. I studied Beyoncé, how she performs and that kind of amazing confidence that she has."

As for her plans for the new year, it's already shaping up to be quite the scheduling conflict for Gwynnie.

"I'm gonna go back to London tonight, get my kids settled back in school, then I fly back almost immediately for SNL, then there's more Glee coming up," she said. "I thought I was going to have a quiet spring, but it looks like it's going to be busy."

One thing she won't be doing: hitting the road. When asked if she might try her hand at touring with her onscreen hubby and new pal Tim McGraw, Paltrow said she wouldn't be above lending a hand—but not her pipes.

"Yeah, I'll bring him coffee." Sounds like a deal to us!
