MTV The Teen Mom drama doesn't stop when the cameras aren't rolling.
Stormie Clark, whose son Derek Underwood was killed in a car crash before his daughter with Teen Mom's Farrah Abraham was born, says that her grandbaby is all she has left of her son—and Farrah won't allow her any contact with the child.
And while she was happy to learn recently that Farrah is keeping her son's memory alive by taking daughter Sophia to visit his grave in Missouri, she was upset when she found out MTV's cameras captured the whole thing.
"I'm glad that she did take Sophia down there finally," an emotional Clark said in an exclusive interview with E! News. "I know that Sophia's not old enough to understand all that right now, but after seeing and hearing that the MTV cameras were there, I just hope that it was for the right reasons."
"It's just sad," she said of the entire situation.
"I felt protective as a mother after I saw Farrah's mother, Deborah, there," Clark said. "I honestly didn't understand why she was there, because she never liked Derek, and I was very uncomfortable with her being at my son's grave."
She would have gone along if she had been asked to go with the group, she added.
Derek died two years ago, two months before Sophia was born.
"Two police officers came to the door," Clark recalled. "They said that, 'Your son was involved in a fatal car accident and he didn't make it.'"
Though Farrah has been in touch with Derek's sister, Kassy, Clark admits that the 19-year-old doesn't speak to her because she "didn't support her and Derek's relationship." She sued for visitation rights after a paternity test—that Clark requested—proved that Derek was Sophia's father, but an Iowa court ruled in Farrah's favor (i.e., as the child's mother, she had no obligation to Clark).
Farrah has said on Teen Mom that Derek's family doesn't want anything to do with her and Sophia and was supposedly quite angry when Clark ran into Sophia at the park while the toddler was with a babysitter.
"It's more than any human being should have to go through to lose her son and his only daughter," Clark told E! News.
"I's just really sad that I have to miss out on all of her baby years," she said. "It's just really hard when the holidays roll around, like they will never be the same. It's just hard."
"If I were able to talk to Sophia, I would say, 'Grandma loves you. I really want to be a part of your life.'"
