Did y'all hear the news?
Despite allegations of abuse by Star (which Brit herself and her rep adamantly denied) right before her big day, Britney Spears still managed to have "the best birthday" of her life during a romantic Mexican getaway with Jason Trawick.
And just in case you wanted proof, Brit has happy, happy pictures of her and Jason on their trip for you to see:
In one photo on Us Weekly's site, Jason and Britney are all smiles as they pose together on the balcony of their private rented mansion overlooking the ocean. Jason even packed Brit's favorite cake for their south-of-the-border trip: red velvet!
But did Brit wish for some damage control when she blew out her candles?
Because if you take a deeper look at the new photos (which aren't available for online outlets until Friday), it seems that they might not be a paparazzi job.
First of all, the two are shot smiling at very close range—so unusual for candid pics. Did they know the photographer was there, and so cooperated?
If these were pap shots, they'd be further away, too, and wouldn't look so totally posed.
Secondly, the photos were taken by a well-known photographer based out of Vegas, who often covers red carpet events for a major photo agency—but not a paparazzi outlet.
The odds that she just so happened to be vacationing at the villa right next to Brit and Jason seems pretty slim—though possible, we guess. Add it all up, and we're seriously wondering if she was hired by the couple to snap smiley shots of their vacation.
And why would they do that, you ask? To try and counteract all the bad press Jason just got, of course.
