Is the latest compulsory on Skating With the Stars a visit to the ER?

In the first of two incidents today, Disney Channel star Brandon Mychal Smith was hospitalized after experiencing breathing problems on set. Then a few hours later, fellow skater Brooke Castille got her finger sliced open while practicing with Olympic gold medal skier Jonny Mosely.

Of all the bad luck.

"[Brandon] was taken by ambulance to the hospital. We are waiting to hear an update, a rep for Smith tells E! News. "We are not sure if he will be skating tonight."

The TV actor, who plays supersuave Nico Harris opposite Demi Lovato in Sonny With a Chance, reportedly turned up this morning for work not feeling well. After complaining of shortness of breath around 11:45 a.m. PT, producers decided to dial 911.

As for Castille, a pairs skater and former U.S. National Champion, TMZ reports that she was rehearsing her routine with Mosely when his skate somehow snagged her hand, slicing her finger down to the bone. She was taken to a nearby hospital where doctors stitched her up.

And you thought ice hockey was where all the action is.

Skating With the Stars airs at 8 p.m. ET.
