But inside, the actress just wants to talk business, first by admitting she hasn't chosen the meatiest roles in the past...
"I know I haven't been swimming in the deep end with some of the movies I've done," Jessica says. "I wasn't trying to. I knew what they were."
Oh, so it was the material that caused flicks like Machete and The Eye to bomb. Gotcha.
The 29-year-old also confesses that she's shy and doesn't "like being the center of attention." We're not sure how that works out with the acting thing since it pretty much involves being the center of attention.
Despite that roadblock, Jess is determined to find good work and is reprioritizing her picks now that she has to juggle it with motherhood.
"The time I'm not spending with my kid has to be worth it, so when I sat down with my agents after I was ready to go back to work, I told them: It's all about the directors."
So once those juicy parts come along, Jess will really show us her acting chops.
