So long, magic wands! It's all about guns 'n' gangsters for Rupert Grint as he moves beyond his star-marking turn as Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter series.

With the saga wrapping up, the stars we've come to know and love over the last decade are taking on new roles and identities.

Grint, for example, stars a British gangster movie opening this week and admits it's not easy to say goodbye to Hogwarts:

In an interview with Parade magazine this week, Grint confessed:

"We had like a big wrap party when we finished...I haven't quite adjusted to life without Harry Potter. I'm really sad actually, I've missed it. But after 10 years, I do kind of want to stretch a bit more and explore different characters and do different things."

And Grint isn't wasting any time when it comes to tackling those different characters. In his first big post-Potter flick, he's starring opposite Bill Nighy (Pirates of the Caribbean) and Emily Blunt in the dark comedy Wild Target. A bit of a different filmmaking experience, Grint explained how Harry Potter and its wands had nothing on Target's firepower.

"There's a lot of car chases and shooting people and stuff," Grint told the mag. "The gun play was quite scary and kind of intimidating, especially firing a machine gun. It really took me a while to get used to it."

It's gonna take us a while to get used to it too, but we have to move on, as sad as it may be.
