Max Weinberg may not be joining Conan O'Brien for his latest late-night endeavor, but here's some news that's music to our ears.

Not to mention puts a great big smile on our faces…

Andy Richter will be returning as O'Brien's sidekick to help fuel the funny when Conan debuts on Nov. 8.

That's right. The duo that got its start way back in 1993 on Late Night, endured the whole Tonight Show fiasco together and recently spent time on the road performing in The Legally Prohibited from Being Funny on Television Tour is teaming up once again.

"I'm thrilled to be going back to work with Conan, and very excited to start a whole new venture on TBS," says Richter in a just-released statement. "However, I am mostly looking forward to getting out of the house again."

But, apparently, not everybody got the memo.

"This decision was made without my authority," adds O'Brien. "I will get to the bottom of this."

Ah yes. The more things change, the more they stay the same. And sometimes that's a very good thing.
