Did everyone hear that Dancing With the Stars is actually a dancing show?!

Sure, we did, but based on the backstage talk after last night's episode, Bristol Palin, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino and even a few judges are apparently treating this as the search for the next Oscar winner. News flash: Bristol is sadly not on the list...

Audrina Patridge really isn't an actress—but that didn't stop the judges from praising her skills during the storytelling number Monday night. Unfortunately, Bristol and her acting ability just didn't cut it.

"The dance was clean, it was good," a bummed-out Bristol told us after the show, "but I guess more acting is what they're looking for." Added her partner, Mark Ballas: "Some of the scorings were all over [the place] tonight. I watched it back after and the choreography and footwork was super clean. The acting could have been better, yeah, but Bristol's new to this. She's only been out here three times. She deserved a little bit of a break."

Don't forget, Bristol already ventured into the entertainment biz once before on ABC Family's The Secret Life of the American Teenager—but she told us then and there that she is not an actress. Len Goodman and Co., why aren't you reading our stories?! Hmph. You would've been prepared.

The Situation's sitch is a little different. And by that we mean he's already planning on invading the Hollywood acting scene. Translation: No stupid judges' remarks are going to bring down this talented thespian in the making!

"I love the camera and being in front of it, so that's the eventual plan," Mike told us of his acting dreams. "You'll definitely see me in front of the big screen." We think he means on the big screen, but we'll let that one pass, since clearly we don't want to offend a future major movie star.

The Jersey Shore star and his partner, Karina Smirnoff, are just happy to still be in the competition, and are hoping to stick around for next week's Argentinean tango.

Mike said: "The fans have been coming out and supporting us every week, and I don't want to let them down. So we're working really hard."

Come back tonight for more backstage scoop from the Dancing With the Stars results show. Just think, you can say you knew Mike way back when...
