The 45th Annual Country Music Association Awards in Nashville kicked off tonight with two very entertaining hosts—who have obviously proven themselves worthy since this is their fourth time doing it—Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley.

Oh, but we didn't get to them until after Blake Shelton gave his rendition of "Footloose," which didn't go too smoothly. "For those you wondering.. Yes, 'Footloose' was completely screwed up... Son of a bitch!!!!!!! Ha! Ha! Oh well..," Shelton tweeted.

It's OK, Blake, we forgive you.

Lucky us, we got a kicker right at the beginning of the show! No, we don't mean Carrie's legs, although they were looking extremely magnificent in each new dress she put on. And Shelton seemed to enjoy it, too.

"If y'all are watching the CMAs tonight I'll be the loud drunk guy on the front row cheering for Carrie Underwoods legs," he tweeted.

But anyway, Paisley and Underwood sang a little song dedicated to Hank Williams Jr. and all his recent shenanigans. And wouldn't you know it, the guy showed up! It was a hoot!

However, that was enough of the funny. It was time for some serious award givin'...Or was it?

The first presenter, Modern Family's Eric Stonestreet, joined the two hosts onstage and brought up why they hadn't yet addressed a very crucial recent event. Of course, we're talking about Kim Kardashian's divorce from "what's his name..."

So they sang about it.

OK, seriously now, it was time for some real country lovin' on stage and recognizing some of this year's biggest country artists.

Keith Urban, Sara Evans, Zac Brown Band, Rascal Flatts, Lady Antebellum, Kenny Chesney and Grace Potter, Lionel Richie (what?!), Sugarland, Scotty McCreery and Martina McBride were just a few of the names that performed tonight, but we did have some favorites.

For the ladies, it was Miranda Lambert, who performed "Baggage Claim" and literally set the stage on fire. As for the fellas, New Artist of the Year nominee Luke Bryan made our heads turn, and we're not sure if it was all the sexy dancers or his sparkly pants and shoes that did it, but we were diggin' it.

As for the big names of the night, the Band Perry was tonight's leader with three CMA Awards, but Taylor Swift nabbed the top prize—adorably, of course.
