Ice-T just found himself on the wrong side of law and order.
The actor-rapper was busted this morning in New York City for a driving offense, E! News has learned.
A spokesman for the New York Police Department confirmed that Law & Order: Special Victim's Unit star was pulled over in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan after officers noticed he wasn't wearing a seatbelt. A quick computer check revealed that Ice-T had been driving with a suspended license after failing to renew his insurance.
He was taken into custody, booked at a nearby precinct and released shortly thereafter.
"He likely will receive a desk appearance ticket where he'll have to appear in court at a later date," said the NYPD public information officer.
Just before being collared, both the hip-hopster and his buxom wife, Coco, took to Twitter and discussed taking their pet bulldog, Spartacus, to the vet for a knee operation.
No word if the dog made it. But Ice wasn't too thrilled about the hold up.
"Some punk bitch rookie cop named. . . made the arrest of his bulls--t career today. Arresting the Notorious Ice T for no seatbelt," he tweeted. "He said 'I know who you are and I don't give a f--k!' That was right after I called him a punk bitch."
Ice-T then denied having a suspended license, saying "that's some bulls--t they made up."
Coco added her two cents: "I believe when the cop saw Ice he immediately had a hard-on for him & he wanted 2 take him in for something, anything!"
Special victim indeed.
