NYC Housewives' Kelly Bensimon: Is She a Cougar?

Reality-star model tells us what really happened the other night with Whitney Port's rocker ex-boyfriend, Jay Lyon

Kelly Bensimon is not after Whitney Port's leftovers.

A story making the rounds today claims that the 42-year-old Real Housewives of New York City model mama got quite cozy the other night with 25-year-old Aussie rocker Jay Lyon.

However, Bensimon tells me...

She and Lyon are nothing more than friends who sat next to each other and chatted at Corona's Cinco de Mayo party on Wednesday at the Eldridge.

"I met him last year and wrote about him in Page Six magazine," Bensimon says.

According to one report, Bensimon was all over the Tamarama frontman and even got him to dance with her.

"Her moves must have worked," Gatecrasher columnists Amanda Sidman and Carson Griffith write in today's New York Daily News. "By the end of the night, it looked like she got what she wanted!"

Bensimon says, "I left at 11 with my assistant and no Jay."
