Antonio Banderas is not only looking good, he's doing good.

Following in the rarified ranks of Angelina Jolie, Nicole Kidman, Orlando Bloom and David Beckham, Melanie Griffiths' better half has signed on to serve as a Goodwill Ambassador for the fight against poverty, specifically working on the eight globally agreed upon Millennium Development Goals, which seek to halve world poverty by 2015.

"Poverty robs us of our potential as a people, preventing us from being all that we can be," he said. "This is why it is so important to mobilize all of our efforts to defeat it, especially if today we have the knowledge, the tools and the resources to do it."

And the accent. We're not sure how, but that helps, too.
