Poor Walter Koenig. I pray they find his son Andrew safe and healthy. Any other famous or people related to the famous who have gone missing?

As of this moment, sadly, they still haven't found Growing Pains actor Andrew Koenig, who went missing in Vancouver some 10 days ago. And unfortunately, yes, another actor—in fact, another former child actor—is still missing after years of investigation...

...and that's a young man named Joe Pichler.

Pichler, who appeared as Brennan Newton in two of the Beethoven dog films, disappeared in 2006 in Seattle, at age 18.

Shortly after he vanished, authorities discovered Pichler's abandoned car; inside was a two-page note containing several poems and some wording that appeared to express suicidal thoughts.

The message also included a cryptic statement about Pichler not being a good role model to his then-17-year-old brother, A.J. The note requested that Pichler's personal possessions be given to his sibling. Pichler also appeared in the films Varsity Blues and The Fan.

Also still missing:

Camera guy Patrick McDermott, onetime boyfriend of singer Olivia Newton-John. McDermott went missing near San Pedro, Calif., in 2005, while on a fishing charter boat.

Other passengers on the boat later gave conflicting reports on where McDermott was during and after the fishing trip. In 2008, the Coast Guard indicated that McDermott may have drowned, but the following year, a private investigator contradicted that statement, saying McDermott actually may have melted into Mexico or South America somewhere.

No definitive answer on McDermott has ever been aired.

When someone in or near the Hollywood community goes missing, it's just like anyone else disappearing; there's no way of predicting the result.

When teen actress Scout Taylor-Compton disappeared for two weeks in 2005, her frantic parents went public, and she was found safe the next day. But other missing persons stories have had a more tragic end; teen idol Barry Cowsill and actor Spalding Gray were both found dead after going missing for months.

Let's hope for the best for Andrew.
