Conan O'Brien, Craigslist Ad

NBC/Paul Drinkwater

It's not quite a going-out-of-business sale, but for anyone in the market for a gabfest, boy, does Conan O'Brien have a deal for you. (And no, that doesn't mean you, Jay Leno!)

With his exit from The Tonight Show a fait accompli, Big Red announced on last night's program that he's decided to give some other schmuck a shot at his dream job. So he's gone ahead and put The Tonight Show up for sale on Craigslist—at a bargain-basement price!

"This is the chance of a lifetime to own your very own late night talk show— guaranteed to last for up to seven months! Really must see to appreciate," reads the online advertisement.

Among the other helpful "information for potential buyers":

  • "Measures 100' x 100' x 32'—plenty of room for a futon!"
  • "Designed for 11:35 but can be easily moved"
  • "Band can be sold separately"
  • "Buyer must honor Barry Manilow booking next Thursday"

The ad concludes: "MAKE ME YOUR BEST OFFER! (Also willing to trade for Coldplay tickets.)"

Dave, are you listening?
