File this under a Christmas bummer.
Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins have ended their run as one of Hollywood's most enduring power couples.
Theirs had been a fruitful relationship both on- and offscreen.
Robbins, 51, and Sarandon, 62, met while filming the minor-league baseball classic Bull Durham in 1988 and went on to have two sons together, 20-year-old Jack and 17-year-old Miles.
Other joint credits for the Oscar-owning tandem included the death-penalty drama Dead Man Walking, the thriller Cradle Will Rock and the political satire Bob Roberts.
Sarandon divorced her college sweetheart, Chris Sarandon, in 1979 after eight years together. She has a daughter, 24-year-old actress Eva Amurri, from another relationship.
