If you're like us, you follow entertainment like some people watch sports. Which means, of course, you don't really have time to watch sports.

So with that in mind, we set out to learn more about Khloé Kardashian's husband-to-be, Lamar Odom. We know the pro basketballer is tall, talented and helped the Los Angeles Lakers win the 2009 NBA championship, but what else should non-sports fiends know about the guy?

Here are five things we learned:

Lamar has a clothing line. Called Rich Soil, the line is a mix of printed tanks, tees and sweatshirts. Check out the line's latest look book (and that model's cool mustache).

Lamar likes candy. Not only does he have a personal assistant to stock up for him, but the roundballer even discussed the importance of "candy for breakfast" during a press conference.

Lamar has an Olympic medal. And unlike the one that we have, it's not made of chocolate. He was on the 2004 U.S. Olympic basketball team, which took the bronze in Athens.

Lamar has a charitable foundation. The father of three who lost his son Jayden to SIDS helps children in need. Named after his late mother, who died of stomach cancer when Lamar was just 12 years old, Cathy's Kids seeks to mentor inner-city youths, as well as raise funds and awareness about cancer in minority communities.

Lamar appears in the video for Busta Rhymes and Linkin Park's "We Made It." We don't know why, really, but Odom looks cool striding purposefully down the street (about 2:08 mark).

And for your bonus Odom factoid, how about this:

Lamar is rich. During the off-season, he signed a new four-year deal with the Lakers for $33 million.
